National ABEN Day 2026 - Expect the Unexpected
Thursday, October 15, 2026 (11:00 AM - 5:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
The unexpected has become part of everyday business. From evolving cyber threats and emerging liability exposures to catastrophic events that reshape the insurance industry, today's insurance professionals must be prepared to respond with confidence.
National ABEN Day 2026 brings together three engaging sessions designed to help you anticipate risk, navigate complex situations, and better serve your clients when it matters most.
You'll begin by exploring today's rapidly changing cyber landscape and discover practical loss control strategies that help businesses reduce exposures before losses occur. Next, you'll examine real-world insurance scenarios involving bankruptcies, company vehicle exposures, and settlement disputes—situations that challenge producers to think critically, communicate effectively, and provide trusted guidance to their clients. The day concludes with a fascinating look at the historic Hartford Circus Fire of 1944, using one of the insurance industry's most significant catastrophes to examine coverage, liability, litigation, and the enduring lessons that continue to influence risk management today.
Whether you're helping clients prepare for emerging threats, responding to unexpected claims situations, or learning from history's most impactful insurance losses, National ABEN Day will provide practical knowledge, real-world insights, and actionable strategies you can immediately put to work.
